Praised as "an amazing talent", Cantelina are an exciting vocal and guitar duo comprising of mezzo-soprano Sophie Clarke and classical guitarist Ravi Nathwani. They have just been selected to be International Guitar Festival Young Artists for the 2024-2025 season. This year the pair graduated from their Masters at the Royal Northern College of Music and during their time at the RNCM they received First Place for their performance of de Falla’s Siete Canciones Populares Españolas at the RNCM Bessie Cronshaw/Frost Brownson Song Cycle Competition. Cantelina perform in a selection of concerts all over the UK and were recently invited to perform for the National Day of Spain by the Consul of Spain. Other performances include recitals at Whitworth Art Gallery, the Kings Hall, a post-concert performance for The Hallé and pre-concert performance for BBC Philharmonic both at Bridgewater Hall. This July, the duo performed concerts at St. Clement’s in Cambridge and at the Westminster Music Library and Archives in the heart of London’s West End.

The duo also record a selection of music from Spanish art song to crossover arrangements for commercial release and have amassed several thousand loyal listeners across digital music platforms. Most recently, they performed their classical crossover arrangement of Billy Joel's 'And So It Goes' live on BBC Radio Merseyside.
